Quote from Barry Melrose after the Hawks beat the Rangers Wednesday night:
“Best team in the West, best jerseys in the NHL, best franchise in the NHL.”
Personally I’d say best jerseys in professional sports, but that’s just me. And what East Coast team is better than the Hawks? When you look at the standings and compare points vs. number of games played, the only team that *truly* has more points is the Devils. As much as I hope Marty Brodeur goes down in history as the best goaltender of all time, I suspect that New Jersey’s train is on the verge of derailing at any moment.
