Antti Niemi’s Pads
I finally figured out where Antti Niemi got the idea to wear such straight, flat pads: Mylec.

Ilya Kovalchuk has a smaller cap hit than Brian Campbell.
Ilya Kovalchuk’s $6.0 million cap hit through 2027
Brian Campbell’s $7.1 million cap hit through 2016
Also worth mentioning: Kovalchuck’s cap hit is lower than Toews and Kane, both at $6.3 million.
The Chicago Blackhawks Fountain
If someone suggested the fountain be dyed this way for Halloween, the idea would have been shot down as “too creepy”, but it seems to work for the Blackhawks.
Chicago Blackhawks, 1961
Can’t claim to remember this happening, but unlike the current crop of bandwagon fans, I knew that it did happen.
A Declaration of War And a List of Grievances.
Avoid this post if you don’t want to listen to a bunch of bitching, moaning, and complaining.
I couldn’t be more overjoyed at the progress of the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs. There has been solid, exciting hockey in nearly each and every game. The Eastern Conference has pretty much confirmed my friend Rick’s theory that there is simply no good team in the East. The ‘Hawks are tearing it up. My complaint is related to the various drinking establishments I’ve been forced to endure.
I’m calling out several places as just being downright shitty.
A Bold Statement.

Of course, that makes no sense; at least until you consider the following. If the Blackhawks win in a convincing fashion tonight, there’s no question they’ll sweep the series.
The Beer Jersey.
On New Year’s Eve, my friend Rick and I went to a bar called Coach’s Corner to watch the Blackhawks smash the Devils. They were handing out little Hawks jersey beer holders, but we arrived too late to get our hands on some. I finally found one the other day.
I am going to try and get my dad to paint my name and number on the back.

Antti. Niemi.
I’ve been saying Antti Niemi is a solid goaltender since October of 2009. It’s wonderful to see others finally understand.
