My Sites
A collection of sites I’ve designed for myself. Some suck, some don’t.
Name That Autocomplete! – Designed alongside Brian Brushwood and Justin R. Young, it’s a game similar to name that tune, however it revolves around autocomplete results from the Google.com toolbar.
The Leonard Maltin Movie Game – Designed for movie enthusiasts, it’s a trivia site for testing how well you know films and the actors in them. You’re given the year and genre of a movie, plus a blank list of actors, and you must guess the title. For every incorrect guess, a name is revealed. The goal is to guess correctly in the least number of names. Trust me, it’s fun.
Tweet Hockey – A Twitter based news site for the NHL. I decided to build it when I realized how much good information was on Twitter, but how much I disliked actually using it. I’m sure the vast majority of hockey fans have zero interest in having a Twitter account, so I’ve created a simple to use directory for fans to get their news fast and easy.
Tweet Hoops – The same concept as TweetHockey.com, except for the NBA. I haven’t taken the time to throw it together yet, as I really am not that interested in basketball.
The Jatho Open – Yearly charity golf outing run by my family. Last year was dedicated to raising money to fight breast cancer, and it was a total blast. I currently only maintain the backend, waiting on content from the tournament committee.
CallAround.org – Easily the dorkiest site, but also my first. It’s how I learned to code in PHP and MySQL in the first place. Basically, I created it while working at a hotel in order to have an easier way of collecting rate and availability information instead of having to call two dozen hotels every shift. Don’t bother checking it out unless you work in the hospitality industry. (Currently down for maintenance)
